Soul + Spoon
A spiritually guided ancestral offering for Black families in the postpartum period.
Soul + Spoon was born of a vision I’ve had for a while of feeding postpartum families with more than just meal-trains and drop-offs.
Intentionally set for November 5th, 2025 on the Full Moon in Taurus, this gathering will provide food, comfort and emotional care for up to 50 families with gentle childcare available so caregivers can rest, have the ability to be present, connect and be loved on.
This is an offering of nourishment for the bodies who have carried, sustained, and created life while nourishing themselves + others. This is an offering for visibility and reverence.
It is my hope to offer photography for postpartum families as a form of visible appreciation. As well as yoga, bodywork and massage in increments of 10-20 mins with providers.
There will be nutrient-dense meals, herbal teas, a postpartum altar (to honor those who have parented us and have transitioned, as well as pre-parent photos to honor the transformation that is birth and that is you), group affirmations and a closing ritual
It is a soul-centered, community care offering created to nourish Black + Indigenous postpartum families through warm meals, healing rituals, collective support and visibility.
